Our Mission

We investigate chromatin-mediated epigenetic mechanisms underlying sex-differences in human

… but mostly We eXIST!

In our lab, we investigate transcription regulatory mechanisms from transcription factors and regulatory networks to chromatin biology. In particular, we study how chromatin dynamics influence genes and gene regulatory networks underlying the mammalian sex dosage compensation system - X chromosome inactivation - and its unbalance. To this, we use single cell genomics, molecular and imaging techniques for RNA and histone marks and a variety of model systems from cell lines to primary human samples.
